| New in Hall 4: l'Espace becomes Craft |
|
At the Maison&Objet fair in September 2010, the area previously known as L’Espace, l’atelier des métiers et des arts, is being transformed and will be called Craft, l’espace métiers d’art.
A new name but, above all, a new showcase. Craft, l’espace métiers d’art will bring together the creations of 160 craftsworkers, creators of unique items displayed in a contemporary, luminescent and totally rethought setting. Come and see it for yourself!

|
Craft will feature evocative displays created by talented scenographers Stéphane Plassier and Florence Livet.
Craft is also an area dedicated to young creators. In September, you will be able to discover six winners of the 2010 Ateliers d’Art de France Young Creators' Competition, whose work will be presented by Stéphane Plassier.

At the September 2010 edition, the Ateliers d’Art de France stand will include the Circuits céramiques preview, a taster of the series of exhibitions being organised as part of the 2010 General Assembly of the International Academy of Ceramics in Paris.
Designed by Janick Gouriou, this preview will reveal the richness of contemporary ceramic creativity. A selection of symbolic items from the participating galleries will demonstrate the richness of ceramic creativity, which is currently experiencing a true revival.
→ The Circuits céramiques exhibition in autumn 2010 will invite the public to stroll through Paris on a discovery of contemporary ceramics. Les Arts Décoratifs, Sèvres – Cité de la céramique, the Collection gallery and around 40 other galleries and cultural centres involved in the event will stage their own exhibitions and retrospectives.
